Frequently Asked Questions
If you're new to Eyes On Eyecare Courses or looking for more information about a specific question, this guide will help you learn more about the platform and its features.
How do I obtain CE?
- Begin a course in the CE/CME section of Courses
- There will be a Pre-test to complete prior to beginning the course
- Navigate through the Course, following any and all prompts
- At the conclusion of the Course, the Post-test will become available. The Post-test requires a passing grade of 70% or above. The test can be taken multiple times.
- Once completed, you will be taken to an examination reviewing the course
- You can then immediately download your CE certificate (if you are having trouble and are on a mobile phone, please try downloading on a desktop)
Who submits credits to ARBO?
You are responsible for submitting your CE credits to ARBO. Visionary Medical Education, LLC will retain the records of course completions but does not submit course credits directly.
For questions about the course accreditation, please contact Visionary Medical Education, LLC (info@visionarymedicaleducation.com).
How do I know if a particular course counts as CE?
Only those courses with a COPE ID count for asynchronous CE credit. This event is held in conjunction with Visionary Medical Education, LLC. If you have any questions, please contact info@visionarymedicaleducation.com.
How long does it take to receive my certificate?
Once you claim your credit, you can download your certificate instantly!
Can I edit my certificate once it’s been submitted?
You can edit personal information (e.g., name, OE Tracker number) on your certificates once they are submitted. Click "Claim Credit" within the course sidebar and correct any info that needs to be updated, agree to the attestation and disclaimer statements, then click the blue "Claim Credit" to download your updated certificate.
If you need to resubmit your evaluation for a particular course, please contact support.
Will I be able to download my certificate(s) in the future?
Yes! You can download your certificate(s) from the individual courses you have completed by accessing them within your CE/CME tracker when signed in.
Is there information I need to provide to obtain CE?
Yes! Please fill out your profile in the ce/cme section of courses. You can edit this information at any time!
What if I need to step away from the Course? Will I lose all of my progress?
No! You can step away at any time—Courses will save your progression.
I don't have an NPI number or an OE tracker number. Can I still register for Courses?
Yes! You can register and take entire courses — including the post‑test and evaluation — without entering an NPI or OE Tracker number.
I don't have an NPI number or an OE tracker number. Can I still claim CE/CME credit after completing the course?
To proceed to the Claim Credit step and download an official CE/CME certificate, our accreditation partners now require either a valid NPI or OE Tracker number. If you do not have one of these identifiers, you still have two options:
Request an identifier
• U.S. providers can apply for a free NPI at the NPPES website.
• Optometrists can request an OE Tracker number through ARBO.
Certificate of Participation (no credit)
If you do not need CE/CME credit but would like documentation of participation, email events@eyesoneyecare.com and we will send you a non‑credit Certificate of Participation.
I practice in a setting or country where NPIs are not issued. What should I do?
You can still register and complete the course. However, without a valid NPI or OE Tracker number you will not be able to claim CE/CME credit. If you only need proof of attendance, please request a Certificate of Participation (see above).
